Kajin Sara Lake has Set a New Record for Being the World’s Highest Lake

Mountaineers discovered the Kajin Sara lake in Manang district of Nepal a few months ago. This lake of Nepal set a new record for being the highest lake in the world and replaced the Tilicho lake of Nepal.

About Kajon Sara Lake

Kazin Sara Lake is situated at an elevation of 4,919 meters in the Himalayan nation. It is located in the Singarakharka region of Cham Rural Municipality. Situated at an altitude of 5,200 meters, the lake is estimated to be 1,500 meters (1.5 km) long and 600 meters wide. The water of Lake Kajin is mainly formed by melting the Himalayan water.

Tilicho Lake is currently the largest lake in the world, situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters and is 4 km long and 1.2 km wide and about 200 meters deep in Nepal.
