Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) cricket after the country’s final league clash against Bangladesh in World Cup 2019. He will now focus on the T20s.
1. Shoaib Malik is a Pakistani cricketer and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team from 2007 to 2009.
2. He is an occasional captain of Pakistan national cricket team. He made his One-Day International debut in 1999 against the West Indies and his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh.
3. Malik is regarded as a flexible player. He is capable of hitting big shots but is also capable of rotating the strike with good placement. He has a strike rate of 80.4 runs per 100 balls.
